About the Presenter

Meifa earned his Ph.D. in fluid mechanics from Clemson University (www.clemson.edu) in 2000. He later joined Hazen and Sawyer (www.hazenandsawyer.com) in New York City (NYC). After six and a half years of hustling and bustling life there, he and his wife moved to the sunshine state Florida, where he has been working for CDM Smith Inc. (cdmsmith.com). He is currently a principal and certified project manager at CDM Smith, senior water resources engineer, registered professional engineer in Florida and FEMA-certified floodplain manager. Meifa specializes in hydraulic modeling; water, wastewater, stormwater and flood control master planning; combined sewer overflow control; wetland hydraulics; GIS database development; and project management. He is well versed in most of the hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software packages including InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks, Mike Urban, XP-SWMM, EPA-SWMM, ICPR, InfoSWMM, SewerCAD, InfoSewer and InfoWater, etc. He has participated in or led water or wastewater system planning and hydraulic modeling for many cities including New York City, Omaha, Philadelphia, New Orleans, East Point (GA), Little Rock, Jacksonville (FL), Toronto (Canada), Las Cruces (NM), Virginia Beach (VA), Amman (Jordan), Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. He also participated in or managed many stormwater management/flood control projects in New York City, Florida and Canada.
